Muta Mesthri star Chiranjeevi's PRP merger with the Indian National Congress (INC) has brought a fresh hopes among Chiru's fans, as he has more chances of becoming the Chief Minister. Now, his fans are dreaming to see their matinee idol, as the the next Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

The actor, who launched Praja Rajyam Party in 2008, has decided to join the 125-years-old party. He met UPA chairperson yesterday and announced that his party will merge and support the Congress government. However, he also said that he is not a CM aspirant but he can serve better if he gets power.

The actor has portrayed himself as a fighter against the injustice and corruption in films like Tagore and Stalin. Now that he will be getting more power in politics, we have to wait and see whether he can make any difference!

Minissha's name in a property scam!

It was just a few days back when I-T (Income Tax department) came out with a shocking revelation of Priyanka Chopra’s many flats in Mumbai. Now actress Minissha Lamba’s name is involved in a multi-crore property scam.

While talking to a tabloid, Minissha clearly states that her name is used to cheat people. The names of Minissha and Hollywood actress Tara Reid were part of the promotion campaign for the housing project by Santorini Development in Dubai. It even claimed that Minissha has bought the house in the project.

“I have no clue how something like this has happened. Forget about buying property in Dubai, I have not even entertained the notion yet,” Minissha is quoted as saying by the tabloid. She feels sorry for the people who have been tricked to invest their hard-earned money in this fake housing project.

The four who are accused in this Rs 11.5 crore scam are locked behind bars for three years.

Miss Universe 2010 to star opposite Salman

Rumour has it that Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete Rosete is making her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in David Dhawan's 'Partner 2'.

Reigning Miss Universe Jimena "Ximena" Navarrete Rosete of Mexico is on a 10-day tour to India to promote designer Sanjana Jon's Celebrate The Girl Child Campaign.

Ximena said in a recent interview that she is a huge fan of Salman and wanted to to act in Bollywood movies.

A reliable source says, "Ximena will romance Salman Khan in the Partner sequel. The makers were looking for the female lead in the film and felt that Ximena fits the bill but she will have to learn Hindi and some Bollywood dance moves for her role.

Ximena recently met Salman and has already started taking lessons in Hindi. The New York-based fashion designer Sanjana Jon will style her clothes for the film.

Sanjana, who is close to both Salman and Ximena, has been instrumental in making this happen.

AB's surprise b'day treat in store

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, who is currently shooting in New Zealand for Abbas Mastan`s ‘Players’, is in for a surprise birthday treat Saturday as wife Aishwarya and his friends are planning to visit his sets and take him out for some thrilling adventure sports.

Abhishek`s friends will be flying down to New Zealand to indulge him in his favourite adventure sports.

The sources said, the friends and Aishwarya have planned an entire day of bungee jumping, white water rapids and zorbing since Abhishek is a complete adventure junkie.

"Abhishek‘s friends plan to fly down to New Zealand where he is shooting to surprise him. Abbas Mastan have decided to give the unit a break and celebrate his birthday in a big way. Since he loves adventure sports but hasn`t got the time to indulge in them thanks to his hectic schedule his friends decided to surprise him and have booked an entire day of interesting activities," a source told reporters.

Abhishek, who will celebrate his 35th birthday tomorrow began his career with JP Dutta`s ‘Refugee’ (2000). He then went on to give a string poorly received films, but his performances in ‘Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon’ (2003) and Mani Ratnam`s ‘Yuva’ (2004) proved his mettle as an actor.

The same year, he starred in ‘Dhoom’ his first commercial hit and in 2005, Abhishek, shot to fame with four movies that did well commercially – ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, ‘Sarkar’, ‘Dus’, and ‘Bluffmaster’.

In 2007, the actor starred in ‘Guru’, receiving much acclaim for his performance, and the film emerged as his first solo hit. Later he went on to films like ‘Sarkar Raj’, ‘Dostana’, ‘Delhi-6’ and ‘Paa’ among others.

The actor has a full kitty this year with four films ‘Game’, ‘Dum Maro Dum’, ‘Players’ and ‘Bol Bachchan’.

Priyanka okay with intimate scenes

Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra is one such actor, who can carry off any role with great panache. In Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, she essays the role of a lady who has seven husbands. What’s even more interesting is that Priyanka manages to do intimate scenes with numerous men in the film.

Talking to a daily about her views about love, marriage and intimacy in ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, Priyanka said, “First of all you are talking about marriages and I don`t know any marriage without intimacy. Above that if you`re going to show love and pain it comes along with lot of other emotions. It`s never an isolated emotion with only hatred or love or anger or intimacy being there. So when it comes to enacting any scene, I am an actor and I am doing my job. I am playing the character to as much of my comfort as I could. I made myself comfortable with everybody.”

Priyanka believes that she shares great chemistry with John Abraham, who plays her second husband in ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’.

“I was most compatible with John as I have done three films with him now. I knew him well so there was no question of getting to know each other,” she said.

When enquired about her on-screen chemistry with other co-stars, Priyanka said, “With Neil and Vivaan I got along really well because we were on board right from the beginning. Alex was in fact really fun on the sets. When he came down from Russia he was really friendly and he used to be very fun loving. Irrfan was one actor from whom I got to learn a lot. I tremendously respect him as an actor. Annu Sir, I always knew as he is my dad`s good friend.”

Apparently, Priyanka is delighted to have worked with Naseeruddin Shah as she quipped, “It was very nerve-racking initially because I have never worked with him. But as I did a workshop with Naseer sir right before the film began, it really helped me. Naseer sir is truly an institution of cinema in himself.”
