Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's rivalry is set to touch an all new mark with Shahid now being chosen as the ambassador of a toothpaste brand that Saif used to be the mascot of.

Now, without digging up old graves, we all know that Shahid and Saif have a huge issue between them because of Kareena Kapoor.

And then, professionally too they have been at loggerheads for a long time over a couple of Vishal Bhardwaj projects like Kaminey and Dream Sequence. Now that they have brought their fight in the ad space, let's see what new controversies brew!

Ranbir's mother prefer Nargis for Son!

Ranbir kept out of his leading ladies' hair over the weekend because he was busy elsewhere, but TOI learnt that there are some new developments pertaining to his personal life.

Since RK Junior is the most eligible bachelor in B-town, rich, super-successful, blue-blooded and talented, the women have been seeking his attention constantly.

An insider says, "The guy has had no breathing space. He is constantly smothered with affection." Barely had his famous affair with Deepika Padukone ended, when he was linked to Katrina Kaif. The reason for his split with Deepika is well-known. It is alleged that his mother, Neetu Kapoor didn't approve of the hazel-eyed Bangalore beauty.

A few days ago the snooping paparazzi insisted that after filmmaker Karan Johar's party to celebrate his win at the Filmfare Awards, Kat spent time sipping coffee at Ranbir's Pali Hill home, late at night.

Kat and Ranbir do share very good vibes. They are both rumoured to be doing Ayan Mukerji's second film that might mount the floors at the end of 2011 or early 2012 depending on when Ayan furbishes a finished script. In this context we must reproduce an informal conversation with Neetu who mentioned, "I like Katrina. She's a sweet girl."

However, there are rumours saying that Neetu's innocuous statement certainly doesn't mean that KK has the senior Mrs Kapoor's stamp of approval for anything more serious.

An industry insider says, "Neetu was last seen lunching with Ranbir's Rockstar heroine Nargis Fakhri at a five-star hotel. To onlookers it certainly looked like Neetu had taken the young, extremely attractive model-turned-actress under her wing."

Now whether this is also an innocuous lunch meet or whether it is Neetu's way of saying she prefers Nargis over the other girls who are Ranbir's 'good friends' is something only time will tell.

SRK calls Akshay 'Chota Baccha'

It looks nothing less a clash of the Titans when two industry heavyweights share a common platform, wooing an ocean of audience. This is exactly what happened when Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar shared the same dais while entertaining a humongous gathering in Singapore at an award function held recently.

Director Sajid Khan, who was co-hosting the starry evening along with Akshay asked SRK to join them on stage. And a sport that SRK is, he readily agreed, only to take a dig at his contemporary Akki. Sajid, addressed the two actors as Bollywood’s ‘two most biggest superstars’ and this seemed to pinch King Khan, quite a lot.

After receiving the award Shahrukh and Akshay were asked by Sajid to say a dialogue from each other movie. While saying a dialogue from his film 'Chamatkar' , Sharukh added " tab tum chote bache the ", which meant that you were child at that time reffering to akshay kumar.On this akshay was quick to respond by saying " haan Dadaji", which means grand father. Though it seemed sarcastic but both were able to maintain the comic atmosphere.

Clarifying that the dig at SRK was scripted, Akki, while interacting with reporters said, “"Oh yes, it was all scripted. Shah Rukh told me that his movies used to come when I was a kid. So I said, `Yes `Dadaji``. We had planned it all and we did so because the audience loves such kind of masala."

Sonam speaks about her life

After a rather controversial last year (reported spats with actor Abhay Deol and taking potshots at Ranbir Kapoor), one would expect that the only thing actor Sonam Kapoor would be hoping for is a smooth sail in 2011.

However, the actress reveals that it’s not so. “I have better things to ask for, than worry about such frivolous stuff,” she says, adding, “My life’s much too happening at the moment for me to worry about what others have to say about me.”

As for her her alleged rift with co-actor Abhay Deol, she says, “There’s nothing to sort out between Abhay and me. In fact, I’ve not even spoken to him personally once, so I don’t know what to make of his comments.” Sonam also reveals that she’s not averse to working with him in the future either. “My choice of films depends on my role and the filmmaker, not on co-actors,” she clarifies.

The actress is at present shooting for Abbas Mustan’s Players in New Zealand with actor Abhishek Bachchan and says that it feels like a sense of deja vu. Incidentally, Abhishek is the only co-star that she is working with for the second time. “Abhi did point that out to me too,” she shares.

“But anyway, there’s a long way for me to go and hopefully, I’ll work with all of them at least 10 times more,” she smiles. Apart from the Abbas Mustan thriller she also has Mausam and Thank You to look forward to this year.

The pretty star is also hoping to squeeze some time off for herself soon after she wraps up the three films. “Yes, it’s been super hectic for me since last year and I’ve hardly had a break. Though I’m not complaining about it, my parents do say that they haven’t seen me in a long while,” smiles the actress.

Sonam is also looking forward to her sister Rhea’s next film as a producer, but reveals that as of now nothing’s been finalised. As for her doing the film, she says, “Dad’s taught us one thing in life and that’s to first deserve than desire. So, I’ll have to earn a role even if it’s a home production. But I do hope she casts me in her next too.”

Bhumika Chawla files for divorce

All is not well in Bhumika Chawla's world. The actress who got married to yoga guru Bharat Thakur four years ago is filing for divorce. Though the actress is yet to go on record about this, a close friend has confirmed the news.

Bhumika was in Mumbai recently and discussed the turbulence in her married life with one of her close friends. "Bhumika decided to take the step after her attempts to keep husband Bharat away from affairs with other women failed," informed a close friend.

It is believed that Bhumika has been staying with her parents since the past few months, during which Bharat tried to come up clean with her and her parents. However, seems the actress is firm on her decision and wants to call off her relationship officially.

Sonali Bendre denies malfunction

An official statement on behalf of Sonali Bendre has denied reports of her being spotted without underwear at the recently held Karan Johar bash.

The statement, sent by her publicist reads, "There have been malicious reports circulating online about a wardrobe malfunction concerning our client Ms.Sonali Bendre. On behalf of Sonali, we would like to clarify, that there is no truth to the story which has left both Sonali Bendre and her family highly grieved and disturbed."

The statement also denies her quote mentioned in the report. "The story also carries a quote attributed to Sonali which is utterly ridiculous. Our client belongs to a respectable family, is a mother and has always shared a very warm and cordial relationship with the media."

It further mentions that legal action will be taken against those who have publicized the story. "We would like to elucidate to all concerned that the story is fabricated by vested interests that aim to damage her reputation and hence request you to not credit it or encourage it. More importantly other sources further publicizing this malicious story, will face a legal notice."

We hope all this statement clears the air for now and ever.

Allu Arjun suffering from Cancer?

Stylish star Allu Arjun is reported to be suffering from Bone Marrow cancer. This news has been leaked on the facebook, which is a social networking site. Probing into these details, Allu Arjun is said to be suffering from Bone marrow cancer, from the past two years. But since, it is in initial stages, he is undergoing treatment and will recover for sure.

There is news that the actor is suffering from Bone Marrow cancer, due to the intake of steroids and hormones, during the making of his “ Desamuduru”. In order to get a six pack body, Allu Arjun consumed some unnecessary hormones and now, he is suffering from cancer, which is a dangerous side affect, caused by those steroids.

It is a fact that Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, during the making of his “ Dasara Bullodu”

Faced similar situation and underwent through a rigorous treatment, in a foreign country. Since the actor was in initial stages of Bone marrow cancer, it was treated and was cured from its roots.

There is news that Allu Arjun knew about this almost 18 months ago. During the making of “ Varudu” last year, he underwent through a special treatment for a span of fortnight, in an undisclosed foreign country.

Now, the stylish star is on a recovering spree and his family members hope that this serious illness will soon heal. For this reason, he visited a Dargha on RP Road, secunderabad, during the release of “ Varudu”. But the media was answered that he was praying for his movie success and were kept ignorant about his illness.

May be this suffering of his, is due to his father Allu Arvind’s ill deeds.

But let’s hope that this young actor recovers fully and will be back in business as earlu as possible.

Trisha Krishnan in Rajinikanth's Rana

It seems Trisha Krishnan's dream is finally coming true. Yes, the actress, who has been dreaming to work with Rajinikanth, has been roped in for one of the female leads in upcoming Rajini starrer film Rana.

Trisha's name was doing rounds even before the film was officially announced. But her involvement in the project faded away after Deepika Padukone and Anushka Shetty were approached for the key roles. Now sources close to the developments have revealed that the 26-year-old actress has signed for KS Ravi Kumar directorial live action film.

However, the makers of the film are yet to announce the names of the actresses, who are pairing Rajini in the film. Rana is jointly produced by Eros International and Soundarya Rajinikanth's Ocher Studios Private Limited.

Jacqueline to beat Mallika in erotica

And you thought Mallika Sherawat's scenes in Murder were bold. Well, guess what, not only has Mallika's steamy kiss record been broken, her erotica record also is going to be broken by Jacqueline in the sequel.

With Sara Khan's marriage to Ali Merchant called off and no other man in the picture at the moment, it looks like she'll be single this Valentine's Day.
