Shankar's 3 Idiots remake on the roll

Director Shankar's remake of 3 idiots, titled Nanban, has finally gone on floors. What's more, he's even finished the first schedule of the film in Ooty.

The director wrote on his blog, "It was really a good start and I'm able to feel things started working. It was full of fun and laughter, there was a lot of energy flowing as it was a young team." He has even posted few pictures that were shot on the sets of the film, that has Vijay, Jiiva and Srikanth playing the lead.

Madhuri to invite the three Khans to dinner?

Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit has revealed that she would like to invite all the three Khans - Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman - to dinner at her home someday.

"I would love to invite Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman to come and have food over at my place. I know Shah Rukh would always praise my cooking, Aamir would give me advice on how the food could be a little better which would help me improve, and Salman would just say 'where's the food, give it to me quickly'," a jovial Madhuri told reporters here Monday evening. The actress was here to launch celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor's new 24-hour food channel "Food Food".

While it is often said that women are better cooks than men, Madhuri has no qualms in admitting that it is her husband Sreeram Nene who takes the cake when it comes to cooking at home.

"He (Sreeram Nene) loves to cook. It's a natural art. Like I have the affinity for dance, he has natural affinity for cooking. He is also a fast learner. He's the one who aroused my interest in cooking and thanks to him I have become a good cook," she added.

Vidya to pose nude for MF Hussain

Two things that make the veteran artist M F Husain a legend are his beard and his brush. Yes, his creations on the canvas are marvels in the art world. Now, he is creating a special flavor by showing interest in film heroines and his muses are quite seasonal ranging from Madhuri Dixit to Anushka Sharma.

Now, it is heard that the ninety plus artist has set his eyes on the sensuous beauty Vidya Balan and he has given a special request. It is heard that Hussain wants to paint Vidya nude and here is the best part. Sources say Vidya said yes to the idea and is all thrilled about it.

Apparently, she has assured Hussain that after doing her film based on the life of Silk Smitha, she will do the nude posing. Hussain from his end is quite turned on with this and it looks like he will live for another ten years after looking at Vidya in her birthday suit and drawing her.

Should Deepika apologise?

After her outburst against Ranbir on Karan Johar's show KOFFEE WITH KARAN, Deepika Padukone's real life has become an exercise in hide and seek.

Reveals our source, "Wherever the star actress goes, the shadows of her comments don't leave her company. Such is Deepika's misery that she has to check out the timetable of some people before she can attend an event or an award ceremony."

And the two people that Deepika is scared of are Ranbir's mom and dad. Ever since her comments against Ranbir on the TV show, Ranbir's parents have been vying for revenge. But the actress is smartly tackling the issue by maintaining a safe distance.

But the possibility of a close encounter is giving Deepika sleepless nights. Deepika's caustic comments have damaged the fabric of her earlier equation with Ranbir's parents. It is worth to mention that there used to be a time when Deepika was the most welcome guest at Ranbir's home. Now, the equation has taken a complete U turn.

Our source has a word of advice for Deepika. Says he, "The only way Deepika can get out of this situation is by coming up with a public apology. This will ease the tension that she had added to herself post the comments."

Well, apology or no apology is entirely the prerogative of the actress. But, let's hope she chooses a way of less conflict for herself.

Salman ordered to appear in court

The district & sessions court on Monday ordered Bollywood star Salman Khan to appear before it on February 19. Besides, the court has sought original papers pertaining to the conviction of Khan in Chinkara poaching incident that took place at Bhawad near Jodhpur on September 26, 1998. However, uncertainty prevails over Khan's appearance before the court on the said date.

The state government informed the Jodhpur bench of Rajasthan High Court that Khan received mild sentence and said other actors involved in the crime should be convicted. Khan was convicted under Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act by the lower court in Chinkara poaching case during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain along with co-actors. Chief Judicial Magistrate Brijendra Kumar Jain had sentenced Khan to one year imprisonment and Rs 5,000 fine on February 17, 2006.

Khan had appealed against the verdict and court granted him bail on March 10, 2006. Thereafter, he never appeared before the court.

Sonakshi can't call Salman Khan a 'Bhai'

Is Deepika done with Siddharth?

Her surprising comment about the 'right man' revealed

Deepika Padukone might be spotted with Siddharth Mallya at just about every party, but she still won't admit that he's the right man for her. In fact, the star says coolly that she is still looking for the right man to marry!

"I haven't thought of marriage. I still have to find the right man to even consider marriage," Deepika said at Imran Khan and Avantika's wedding reception on February 5 which she attended with Sidhharth.

Some months after her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika started being spotted with Siddharth, who's the son of industrialist Vijay Mallya. Though DP has never openly admitted that they are seeing each other, they seem quite inseparable at several B'wood parties, which they tend to attend together.

When reporters asked Siddharth about their relationship, he refused to commit to an answer about Deepika either, saying: "I have planned nothing as yet. You should ask her."

Talking about his and Deepika's relationship, he said: "I was out of the country when I heard of it, it made me laugh."

Deepika didn't say much more about Siddharth, we're guessing she's just playing ultra-cool after what she went through with Ranbir. But she was more than willing to talk about Imran, her co-star in 'Break Ke Baad'. She said it was a must for her to attend his wedding reception.

"I owe it to Imran. I was shooting in Bhopal and just landed in Mumbai. I got here straight from the airport to attend the reception," she said.

Sallu, SRK avoid each other!

There were little spots of tension on the evening of Imran Khan and Avantika Malik's wedding reception hosted by Maamujaan Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao.

After all, it was touted that Aamir would play mediator between expected guests - Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, and get the two to patch up on this special night.

But alas, that was not to happen. Salman Khan reached the venue at about 11:45, sporting a jacket on top of his 'Being Human' t-shirt. Salman walked in with brother Sohail. Salman, apparently, made a quick exit, and that too, from the back gate. Salman's exit from the event happened way before Shah Rukh Khan's entry.

Shah Rukh attended the event with wife Gauri Khan. They came in late night - around 2:30 a.m. So a patch up between Salman and Shah Rukh at this do was just not possible, though many a well-wisher of the two Khans was hopeful that the hatchet would be buried, courtesy host Aamir.

We guess, we'll have to wait for another celebration of this magnitude for such magic to happen.
