Another cricket-Bollywood romantic liaison goes kaput. The Sarah Jane Virat Kohli love story has finally fizzled out. The cricketer and the TV anchor-turned actress met at a party a few months back and fell head over heels for each other. With equal speed, the two seems to have grown out of each other.
Despite their hectic schedule, the two made it a point to go out on cozy dinners now and then. Virat had even invited Sarah to cheer him at the World Cup final at Wankhede Stadium on April 1. Though Sarah couldn’t make it due to the promotional campaign for her film Game at the time, she made it a point to meet up with the young cricketer later.
The torrid affair came to an end just before Virat flew out to the West Indies for an ongoing tour. A source close to Virat and Sarah revealed, “Well, you can say that it sort of fizzled out. They tried to cement their relationship, but in their heart of hearts, they weren’t serious about it. So people close to them knew that it wouldn’t last.”
The split did not ome as a surprise to the ones involved either. “Sarah is perfectly fine. So is Virat. There is nothing surprising about this split. Haven’t most cricketer-actress romances come to zilch in the past as well?”
However, a friend of Virat defended him and said, “Virat doesn’t even know what Sarah looks like. So where is the question of them not being together?” Sarah and Virat remained unavailable for comment.
A relatively new director Prabhakar Shukla was keenly pursuing to make a film on celebrated painter MF Husain for the past one year. But before he could discuss the film in detail with MF Husain, the painter passed away on Thursday in London this week. Apparently, the director wishes to cast Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in the role of maverick artist MF Husain.
If things go as planned, Hindi filmmaker Shukla might be able to rope in Amitabh Bachchan for his project called ‘Husain - The Painter’, as Big B was very close to the deceased painter.
Big B was on very good terms with MF Husain. The latter had gifted him a painting of Lord Hanuman carrying the sanjivani booti when Bachchan was hospitalized during the ‘Coolie’ incident.
When contacted Shukla said, "Husain-The Painter has been on my mind since last one year and I had prepared all the necessary documents for that. My producer is also ready. Husainsaab had verbally been okay with the idea.
In fact I was planning to go and meet him in Qatar this month, to seek his blessings for the project. But now I have to rethink and begin it with his good wishes only. No doubt he was the Picasso of India, who had storm the world by his brush strokes.
Shukla has to his credit a small-budget film titled ‘Kahani Gudiya Ki’ , but the director has been heard of acquiring a producer to back his big budget ‘Husain – the Painter’.
Ram Gopal Varma has never been known for political correctness. After his generous use of the ‘F’word in his tweets to Amitabh Bachchan, Ramu is now learnt to be sending out messages that poke fun at Rekha.
The rumour doing the rounds in B-Town is that Ram Gopal Varma is sending out a text message that reads: “Coming soon - ‘Bbuddhi Hogi Teri Ma’, starring Rekha!”.
It’s no secret that Ramu is in awe of Amitabh Bachchan’s style and spunk in the upcoming film Bbbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap. But no one had anticipated that he would joke about making an alternate version of the movie with Rekha, of all the women in the industry.
However, it is still not confirmed whether it is indeed Ramu who is sending out this message or some prankster is up to a nasty trick. Earlier when similar messages revealing the climax of Abhishek Bachchan’s film Dum Maaro Dum started doing the rounds before the film’s release, they were credited to Ram Gopal Varma, though he denied having sent out such messages.

Internet miscreants morphed Anushka Sharma's face with a bikini clad model and released it online. The picture, which started to appear online from few days back and it is going viral all over the net.
A similar prank was played on Sonakshi Sinha and Vidya Balan recently, when the actress's morphed bikini picture was released online. Though there are numerous morphed images of actresses online, the recent ones are appearing more realistic.
Bollywood star Katrina Kaif and her sister Isabelle have also been the prey of web harassment. Kaif's mother Susanne Turquotte had condemned the people involved with such acts in a press note, "Katrina is aware of the malicious posts that have come up from time to time on the net. That she has kept quiet all his while doesn't mean that she will keep quiet all the time. She's also considering legal options for websites and software applications that tend to draw users using these tactics,"
Angela Jonsson was spotted putting the moves on Sidhartha Mallya at Shilpa Shetty's birthday party a few days ago.
The calendar girl entered the party with Prateik and some friends, but soon made her way towards Deepika Padukone's boyfriend, the minute she saw him.
A guest recounts, "Angela knows Sid, having modelled for his company's calendar. They are acquaintances but have never partied together before. Neither seemed fazed by the fact that there were people around. While she giggled the night away, he was all ears."
Since Deepika is in London shooting, Sidhartha seemed at ease with his friends and the female attention he was attracting. "Though he's madly in love with Deepika, it hasn't stopped him from engaging in healthy flirting. Angela, too, enjoyed the attention Sid showered on her, even as the other girls at the party suffered jealous pangs," noted the guest.
In the past, Jonsson has admitted to briefly dating Ranbir Kapoor. Friends reveal that she's extremely open about her feelings towards the men she likes. A friend reveals, "Angela wears her heart on her sleeve. If she likes someone, it's very obvious. She isn't the sorts to hide it. Also, she enjoys having conversations with witty guys."

...While dippy gets trippy
Sidhartha Mallya and Deepika Padukone sure know how to give each other space. The actress was spotted in the company of a good-looking man earlier this week at an exclusive nightclub in London's Mayfair area. DP, in the city shooting for Homi Adajania's next with Saif Ali Khan, was in an amorous mood.
Says an onlooker, "A few nights ago, Deepika dropped in at the members-only, very exclusive Cirque Du Soir, famed for its fancy dress code, friends in tow. That night, the women dressed up as nurses while the men masqueraded as doctors. Dippy, however, wore a simple casual white outfit. She looked cosy with this one guy in particular. The two even made it a point to groove to slow, mellow tracks as well. Her companion isn't a celebrity. She seemed to enjoy herself and appeared to be in high spirits. It was only when other guests asked her for pictures that she got conscious and refused." Adds the source, "The night club is dimly-lit with armchairs and sofas, double lampshades and an art deco mirrored alcove at the very back, sheltered with velvet curtains for privacy (VIP area). Dippy later moved to that area with her friends."

But Katrina says that the title has left her speechless. “Honestly, I don’t find myself sexy! It’s a great honour to be appreciated by so many people. I just don’t know what else to say,” she laughs.

In fact, Katrina, who was in her teens when she started out in Bollywood, says that she considers actor Madhuri Dixit to have “amazing sex appeal.” Madhuri, who now took a sabbatical from films to raise a family, now shuffles her time between Denver and Mumbai for occasional assignments. Says Katrina, “I’ve always been a huge Madhuri Dixit fan. The biggest plus point is that she is so down to earth. I’d have to say that Madhuri is the ‘most sexy’ from Bollywood.”

Cops trace ID from where vulgar mails were sent to Tollywood actor Meera Chopra, actor claims she knows who it is
After musician Anoushka Shankar and producer Ekta Kapoor, it is Tollywood actor Meera Chopra's turn to face online heat. The Tollywood actor, who is reportedly a cousin of Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra, was allegedly being sent vulgar mails. Delhi Police a week back managed to trace the Internet Protocol (IP) address from which the mails were being sent.
The FIR, a copy of which is with MiD DAY, states that: "During the course of technical enquiry, request was sent to Hotmail & Yahoo asking registrant and log details of the questioned email IDs. Hotmail had provided IP addresses belonging to Airtel Delhi & France, whereas Gmail had provided only registrant details. Meanwhile, Airtel had also informed that the questioned emails were created and used from the IP address allocated to the Internet connection installed in the name of one S K Ahuja."
Meanwhile, Meera is in a state of 'shock'. She told MiD DAY that she was allegedly being harassed by 'a few of her known ones'. And she wants the world to know it. "I am shocked at the incident. It's like that saying, 'Apne log hi barbad karte hain' (It's people known to you who cause harm)," she said.
The actor confessed that she now knows who the accused it but refused to divulge further information citing police investigations as the reason. "I know who they are (it's the entire family) but I can't reveal their identity as I have been asked by the cops not to disclose it yet. These people are not in India and are abroad. I myself want to expose it to media," she told MiD DAY.
Meera, who stays in Model Town area in north Delhi, had lodged an FIR with the economic offences wing, EOW of Delhi Police on January 19 alleging harassment by someone -- who in the course of investigation turned out to be a known person -- on e-mail for the past few months.
Delhi police remained tight-lipped on the issue. When MiD DAY visited the economic offences wing office in Adhchini to meet the DCP, EOW, KK Vyas, he refused to meet. Special Commissioner of Police, Crime, Ranjit Narayan said that he was unaware of details.
Both the investigating officers and the complainant remained tight-lipped about the identity of SK Ahuja. Going through the contents of the complaint, enquiry prima facie an offence under U/S 66A IT act was lodged.
Investigating officers and sources have told that they have issued arrest warrants to a few people and are probing the matter further. "We are very close to the main culprit," the sources said.
