Ash refused to play for Salman's Charity !

Aishwarya Rai shocked the unit of KBC by staying away from the show which was to be aired on monday and her presence was expected as per the promotional activity for 'Action Replayy'.The show is hosted by her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and the prize money was to be  donated to Salman's Being Human Charitable Trust.

Ash was supposed to turn up for one of the KBC shoots with Akshay Kumar and her other co-stars for the promotion of her latest flick ' Action Replay' but she never attended the show.

Aishwarya kept the officials of the channel unaware of this, so the channel was hoping that she would finally turn up for the shoot. But when they got the news on monday that aish was not coming to the show , they had nothing to do.

Says a source, “Aishwarya learnt that the Action Replayy team had decided to donate their entire amount they might win on KBC to Salman Khan’s Being Human Foundation. This is why she stayed away from the show.”

Though Aishwarya did not turn up for the show, all her other co-stars from the film, including the director Vipul Shah completed the shoot. The winning amount, Rs 50 lakh, as promised was donated to Salman’s charity foundation.”

The channel’s spokesperson did not comment on the incident and stayed calm when asked by reporters. Aishwarya’s spokesperson explained the issue as , “The story is completely untrue. As far as my understanding goes, family members are not participating on the show.”

 The vivacious Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be turning 37 on November 1. We got a chance to ask how she is planning to spend her special day.

Aishwarya says, "I am working I'm busy promoting my films. ACTION REPLAYY is releasing on the 5th. So, obviously it involves a lot of intense work."

So, does that mean she won't be celebrating her birthday with hubby Abhishek, Amitabh and Jaya? "I've kept time aside on my birthday as always to spend time with my family," reveals the stunning actress.

"How the day will roll, I have no idea. I'll go with the flow," she sums up.

Earlier, we had reported ('Why So Anjaane Still?'; September 27, HiTLIST) how the actress was preparing to announce her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor to the world. So one can assume that the first step towards accepting she is seeing RK, is declaring that she is no longer with SK.

Interview feud

An industry source reveals, "On Monday, an article in a morninger carried quotes of an old interview of Kat, in which she'd spoken about Salman and her closeness to him. This upset the actress, who has been trying to maintain a strictly professional relationship with her ex."

The actress called up the higher-ups in the organisation and told them that she wanted to clear the air about Salman. The following day, her interview admitting to her split was flashed in the front page of a city tabloid under the heading: For The First Time.

So the question is: Why did Katrina finally come clean about Sallu? Says an insider, "That interview made matters embarrassing for her. She is seeing Ranbir now, and the Kapoor khandaan have welcomed her into their fold. How would she explain an interview gushing about Salman being a '4 am friend'?"

Her break-up confession was a face-saving attempt.

A source close to the actress adds, "When Kat read an article about Salman and her closeness, she was extremely upset. She doesn't want to send out the wrong signals to Ranbir and his family. She is not with Salman anymore.

Last month, at a press conference for a foreign airlines she endorsed, she'd vaguely hinted at Salman's bachelor status."

The source continues, "Though Salman and Kat broke up long ago they continue to be friends. She appreciates all that he has done for her, and they will always be there for each other.

After the Being Human show recently, he even asked her to party with him and his friends but she refused as she had an early morning flight. Though Salman and she still keep in touch they are not romantically involved anymore and she wants to dispel that wrong impression." Is the message clear?

Bips sends crowd berserk!

For Bollywood star Bipasha Basu driving men crazy is an occupational hazard, but this time she managed to send a whole crowd wild, with almost disastrous results! The actress, along with Kapil Dev and cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, was attending the opening of new five-star hotel The Grand Bhagwati, when the crowd went berserk.

While the stars were due to arrive by 5pm, in true celebrity fashion they reached the venue two hours late, leaving the gathered crowd, which was swollen by gate crashers, enough time to become impatient and agitated. When they eventually did arrive, it was pandemonium. “The crowd became uncontrollable after seeing the hot, sexy and voluptuous Bips,” informs an eye-witness.

According to reports, the organizers could not manage the throng, with no barricade and only two security guards present to protect the stars. “Owing to the slip on the part of the security engaged, the crowd came very close to Bipasha,” says our eye witness. But in true style, Bipasha was saved by cricketing heroes Dhoni and Kapil Dev, our sources reveal, and the actress escaped with a minor injury near her left eye.

But despite almost being mobbed, Bips is reported to have climbed on stage to urge the crowd for calm, saying, "Please do not lose your cool. Take care as there are children too in the crowd." When order resumed, the event was finally addressed by Kapil Dev and Dhoni, but not before Bips decided to give it a miss, flying home instead.

“The whole thing has been exaggerated. Bipasha is absolutely fine,” assures Tanuja, Bipasha’s manager when contacted for comment. “She reached back safe and sound by 8.30 pm. I am very happy that you guys are so concerned, but things have been blown out of proportion.”

Kat’s the real desi girl

The gorgeous Katrina Kaif has replaced the original 'desi girl' Priyanka Chopra in the sequel to 'Dostana' on reel, but her 'desi girl' avatar isn't just about a character.

Although born in Hong Kong, raised in Hawaii and London; Kats a pucca Indian at heart.

Right from her personal wardrobe to her choice of food, the sexy lass exudes her typical Indian ways. We hear that while shooting for films, miles away from home, it's the very desi curd-rice that keeps Katrina kicked up. A friend of the actress revealed, "The typical Indian khana is what pleases Katrina's taste buds.
She can have dahi- chawal anytime of the day."

We also learnt that the health conscious Kats prefers dahi-chawal because of its low oil content. The friend added that Katrina loves cooking and she finds it very therapeutic. Now that's some revelation, isn't it?

Ash-Hrithik intimacy part 2?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan doesn't seem to be in the mood to take chances as far as Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming Guzaarish is concerned. The actress, who has avoided revealing costumes or intimate scenes after marriage, has agreed to do a sensual romantic sequence with the film's hero Hrithik Roshan.

"Ash and Hrithik have shot a sensual scene for Guzaarish. In the shot, Ash is shown to be moaning passionately as Hrithik gets intimate with her. Being a thorough professional, she didn't complain about the scene realising that it is integral to the story," says a source close to Bhansali.

This is not the first time that Hrithik and Ash will get intimate on screen. The actors shared an on-screen kiss in the blockbuster Dhoom 2 in 2006, but that was before the actress' marriage to Abhishek Bachchan in 2007.

The perfectionist Bhansali, however, is yet to take a final call on the scene. "The filmmaker is yet to decide whether the scene should be retained or removed. If the scene is retained, we will release a promo showing only a portion of it," says an insider in the Guzaarish unit.

Sources say Bhansali was initially worried that Ash might develop cold feet about the scene. "It was a pleasant surprise that Ash was cool with the sequence. She trusts Bhansali completely," the source said.

It's believed that Bhansali, in order to make Ash comfortable during the scene, asked all the crew members except the cameraman to exit the set.

Meanwhile, since nothing sells like sex in cinema, Guzaarish makers are obviously in the mood to push sizzling duo have shot a sensual scene in Guzaarish the intimate sequence on the film's home pages on the social networking portals Twitter and Facebook.

Guzaarish's Twitter and Facebook pages - with links to the film's official portal - carry a link to an article on the particular scene. The film's co- producer UTV's Twitter page too has a link to the article.
