Priyanka Chopra is a self-confessed micro blog addict. She spends a majority of her free time interacting with her fans and followers online.
Be it social issues or an upcoming film, PC shares her views on a range of issues. Recently, she crossed the million mark and became the first Bollywood celebrity to have maximum number of followers. Here are excerpts from a chat. . . .
How does it feel to cross the million mark as the first Bollywood celeb?
It feels awesome. It's really not about collecting numbers for me, it's just great to know that I have such a large group of people that I can connect with on a regular basis!
How many hours do you spend on the net daily?
It really depends on the kind of day I have. No set formats here. I usually access it on my phone, so when I have some spare time, I check the site to see what the world is talking about.
Are there certain people that you chat with?
No one in specific. It all depends on how often the people I follow tweet! I read what's on the timeline. I also quite enjoy reading all the tweets from my followers.
Do you block rude/abusive followers?
Sometimes, if they are excessively rude. But mostly it's the abusive kind that are blocked.
What's kept you going for so long?
I just enjoy it a lot. You learn so much about people, their views etc. It's also a great platform for me to interact with my fan base one-on-one.
Have you introduced any other celeb friends to the medium?
Not really. I have always shared my experiences and advocated to some of my friends to join, but it's such a popular medium that most people are on it anyway.
