Ajay Devgn has won this round. Vishal Bhardwaj, who was to start his film Two States with Shah Rukh Khan, has now diverted his attention to an untitled flick featuring the Golmaal actor.
The Saat Khoon Maaf director will now make a film with Ajay Devgn first.
Kal: Yesterday
Says a source close to Devgn, "Life has come full circle for Ajay. Shah Rukh had walked into Rakesh Roshan's Karan Arjun (1995) while Devgn was left out in the cold. Ajay now gets comeuppance with Vishal choosing to do his project, effectively putting SRK's on hold. The director had been spoilt for choice over which project to pick. He has finally made up his mind."
AAJ: TODAY
The VB-AD film, their first since Omkara, will be an out-and-out romantic comedy. The source adds, "It's a concept neither has attempted before. Vishal is working solely on this script. He's currently in his Mussoorie bungalow adding final touches." He will direct and co-produce the film along with Ajay and Kumar Mangat.
