There is a saying 'age does not matter unless you are a cheese'. The equation is true at least in superstar Rajinikanth's case, as he has reportedly told the makers of Rana that he is unhappy with Deepika Padukone's looks in the upcoming Tamil film.
It was reported that Rajinikanth's Rana, which was supposed to take-off yesterday, was postponed due to the incompletion of the movie's special set at the AVM Studios. Now, a reliable source has it that the movie was delayed after Rajinikanth told director KS Ravikumar to work on Deepika Padukone's looks. The actor has reportedly said that Deepika should have a simple traditional look yet glamorous.
Rajinikanth plays a triple role of three different ages in Rana. Deepika Padukone pairs him for the younger character. The hunt for the female leads for Rajini's middle-aged character and old-aged character are on. It may be recalled that Rekha, Hema Malini, Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan were approached for the key roles.
However, Rana is directed by KS Ravikumar. The historical movie is jointly produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth and Eros International. Oscar Award winner AR Rahman will score the music for the film and Rathnavelu will handle the camera.
