Manmohan Singh asks Advani to be caretaker PM during Mohali match
New Delhi: After taunting him with "being a Prime Minister was his birthright" banter, Manmohan Singh fired another salvo at beleaguered BJP leader LK Advani, when he asked the 83-year-old to become the caretaker PM while he watches the match between India and Pakistan at Mohali.
"Soniaji is also watching the match and so are Rahul and Priyanka," Singh explained, "Pranabda is busy with Bengal elections while Antony is finalising his Kerala tour for campaigning. Chidu still hasn't finished the Economics book I gave him last week. There was a clear governance deficit impending. I decided to give Advaniji a chance to live his most cherished dream."
"I am not sure if Soniaji was consulted before this decision," a shocked Sheila Dikshit said, reiterating her support and loyalty to the "family" amidst allegations of corruption during the Commonwealth Games.

Science confirms men and women never meant to be more than friends
Upsala, Sweden: In a shocking reversal of thousands of years of thinking, researchers at the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study announced that sexual contact is a genetic accident, and men and women originally evolved to just be good buds. "Using DNA evidence unavailable until the mapping of the human genome, we can now definitively state that the two genders were never meant to do anything more than hang out with each other platonically," said evolutionary scientist Dr Janet Karberg, adding that humans are genetically hardwired in such a way that getting involved romantically can only "ruin everything" between two people. "The true biological imperative of male and female humans is to enjoy long-lasting friendships that don't get bogged down in attraction or sexual tension in any way."

Catholic Church Finds Innocent Priest, Excommunicates Him
San Fransisco, CA: The Catholic Church revealed Saturday morning that they had found one priest whom, they say, has never committed any act of abuse or any sin throughout his priesthood. Father Quentin O'Daily, 42, was paraded in front of the media as the quintessential new model priest. The perfection however, didn't last and things ran aground some time after noon on Saturday. During all the festivities, Father O'Daily let slip that he is actually an Atheist.
"This sort of thing really shouldn't affect how well I do my job," lamented O'Daily. Alas, the Pope and a couple of Archbishops disagreed. O'Daily was excommunicated later Saturday for crimes against the Holy Spirit. Father Packer explained, "Failure to believe in God is an unforgivable sin and the Church does not take kindly to Priests who masquerade as holy men but who, in fact, are perpetrating a crime against humanity and endangering the souls of the faithful." When asked about priests who abuse their relationship with vulnerable adults and children, Father Packer pointed out, "Well, we're only human, we all make mistakes."
