Paying no heed to controversies and gossip, this young actress has always believed in letting her performance speak for her. From a bubbly chatterbox to a quiet wallflower, she has juggled many roles and has acted with top stars in south India. The charismatic actress Tamannah is on a roll yet again.
After being in the industry for over five years, the actress definitely wants to make wiser choices now. "I always look at working with the best directors than opting for the best sub jects for my films and I feel that good directors have the ability to portray any story in an impressive and catchy manner," says Tamannah, who is in Hyderabad shooting for director V.V. Vinayak's Badhrinaadh. "There are some very talented directors like Gautham Menon, Shankar and Bala with whom I hope to work with someday," she says.
Talk about her link-up with actor Karthi and pat comes the reply, "I think the media should stop building tales on a rumour which is non-existent." With a new league of young and hot actresses storming south cinema, does the queen bee sense competition? "Not at all," replies Tamannah, "I am not a competitive person. I believe in my work speaking for itself. And I'm happy to see a bevy of beauties coming and doing different roles." Ask her about that one thing she is looking forward to and she says, "I really want to learn classical dance as and when I find time."
