Superstar Rajinikanth might have churned out the biggest hit of the year, Endhiran, and risen up the hot-o-metre in Kollywood, but it comes across as a surprise when the actor says he has a wish that's yet to be fulfilled — to work in a film directed by K Viswanath!
At the anniversary function of the school run by his wife Latha, Rajini honoured the veteran director-actor with a trophy for his contribution to the film industry, and said, "I once met Viswanathji at the airport. He was basking in the success of Sagara Sangamam, one of his biggest blockbusters. We got talking and he asked me if I could work in his film.
I gladly agreed, but I had some prior commitments to fulfill. Our project got post-poned and later never took off. Had I got the opportunity to work with him then, he would have shown a different Rajini to both the cine industry and myself."
Hearing this from Rajini, Viswanath immediately said, "You know Rajini, it isn't too late even now!" Well, we agree!
