Ekta Kapoor uses media speculations to her benefit, names reel life boyfriend after real man in life
Speculations about Abhay Deol's love life and his involvement with the former Miss Great Britain, Preeti Desai, have been going on since the time they met.
And though neither of them have said anything conclusive about their relationship yet, Ekta Kapoor seems to be using the media speculations to her benefit.
Desai will be making her debut in Kapoor's forthcoming film Shor In The City.
In this Balaji Telefilms' black comedy, Preeti's love interest, Sendhil Ramamurthy's character goes by the name 'Abhay'.
Kapoor's marketing strategy is clearly evident, as her relationship with one Abhay on-screen and another off it is sure to garner a lot of attention for the film.
After all, with Desai hanging out with one Abhay almost all the time over the last few months, the name will not require much practising.
And who knows, maybe it will help her perform better with her love interest on screen as well.
