Known for constantly re-inventing himself and giving actors half his age a run for their money, Anil Kapoor is out to surprise once again. And this time the actor, who has a reputation for being much too possessive about his hair, has decided to go bald.
And it’s not for his raved about Hollywood project ‘Mission Impossible 4’ but for ace filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi`s next big venture ‘Power’.
To be produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, the film will also star Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Amisha Patel and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles.
Confirming the news, a source said, "Anil Kapoor is known to be extremely possessive about his hair style. This is the first time that the actor is playing the role of a villain in a film. His character in the film is very mercurial, edgy and stylised. Anil too was thinking about his role for the last month and after much contemplation, he chose to go completely bald."
Buzz has it that Anil wanted the character to be at par with the classic villains like Mogambo and Shakaal played on screen before.
"Anil is currently busy promoting his film, No Problem. Post that, he will go to shoot for Mission impossible 4. He will return around Christmas this year and soon after he plans to go bald and start shooting for Power," adds the source.
