LADY Gaga promised her fans - Little Monsters - that she would reveal some "primo" news on New Year's Eve and she didn't disappoint.
Gaga didn't disappoint with a trifecta of exciting news for fans.
She released through her Twitter account a provocative Twitter pic - purportedly the racy cover cover shot for her new album Born This Way, which shows her naked from the waist down.
She also revealed the 2011 release dates for both the title track and the album.
The Grammy winner tweeted her provocative, pantsless black-and-white cover image, and said: "THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11."
To us, that's a February 13 release for the single, and a May 23 launch of the album, her follow-up to the award-winning debut The Fame, which was released in August 2008 and sold over two million copies worldwide, and the EP, which was released as an album in Australia, The Fame Monster.
The Fame won a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album and Best International Album at the 2010 BRIT Awards. The Fame reached a high of number three on the ARIA album charts and was the ninth-biggest selling album of 2009. The Fame Monster, released in November 200, hit number one on the ARIA charts 18 weeks after its release.
No stranger to big statements, Gaga recently told concertgoers in Europe they would not be disappointed in Born This Way'.
"I promise to give you the greatest album of this decade," said the 24-year-old.
