Just a week remains for actor Imran Khan to wed his girlfriend and fiancée Avantika Malik.
For a budding star like Imran, it would be quite a low-key court marriage on Jan 10. However, a lot of Bolly frat has been invited to the Mehendi ceremony on January 8 at a farmhouse in Karjat.
We hear Imran has invited to the function all the actresses he has worked with so far. While Sonam Kapoor will be busy shooting abroad, Deepika Padukone, Genelia D’Souza and Kareena Kapoor (she’s working with him in the upcoming film Short Term Shaadi) have already confirmed their presence at the do.
The invite on the wedding card reads: “Mehndi on January 8 between 5 pm and 8 pm - and we party thereafter until dawn.”
Sure, there’s going to be lot of partying that night.
Since Imran and Avantika’s is an inter-religious marriage, they opted neither for a nikaah nor a vivah. Rather, the two decided to get hitched in a court marriage. They got engaged in January 2010. A little less than a year to the day, they now tie the knot.
